Blue Iris Yoga specializes in slow-flow-strength yoga, functional yoga, and restorative yoga — in addition to guided meditation and breathing exercises.

Classes are created to be mini-events with the goal of calming the mind, building physical and mental strength, and re-setting the nervous system. They are accompanied by carefully chosen instrumental music and always include a long savasana (a long held resting “pose”) at the end of each class to help the body can let go, rest, and restore.

Blue Iris classes are created and led by Frances, who has been a practitioner of yoga for over two decades and completed holistic teacher training at the Asheville Yoga Center. Previously, Frances worked as a singer songwriter and writes music for relaxation. Additionally, she is the parent of a young adult who is an artist, loves flowers and all furry creatures, and is a true chocolate enthusiast.
